Darby’s Village Store in Sandridge is seeking a full time Cashier/Shop Assistant to join on a full time basis. Located in the small but vibrant village of Sandridge, St Albans, this store is busy with local customers, passing custom and those visiting the local Heartwood Forest.

We are looking for a committed individual who can offer customers a good level of service. The store is open 7 days per week, from 07:00 – 20:00 (seasonal hours apply), with a requirement for staff to be flexible to work 06:30 – 13:00 or 13:00 – 20:00 on a rota basis. This role will involve rotational weekend working, as per a shared rota. Traditionally, full time staff will work any 5 days from 7.

Responsibilities:

– Cashier duties

– Displaying grocery stock and other goods outside the front of the store

– Handling customer queries

– Replenishing stock and generating orders for delivery

This role is available immediately. Previous experience in a store or retail environment is beneficial but not essential. Pay: £12.95 per hour
