M&S Water Services (Utilities) Limited are recruiting for a Supervisor to join our busy Operations Department
M&S Water Services (Utilities) Limited has been trading since 1997 when the company was set up to bridge the gap between water companies and the customer that domestic plumbers cannot fulfil. Since incorporation M&S has grown into a successful business providing specialist services to a large portfolio of customers, ranging from domestic householders to water authorities and providing expertise in a number of fields such as underground water, plumbing, no dig trenchless technology, fusion welding, leak detection and RPZ valve testing & commissioning.
M &S Water are Lloyds accredited (WIRS) allowing the business to install mains/services on new developments works which traditionally only water companies could complete. In recent years we have grown our Operations Department and we are keen to grow it further with the right people.
You would be:
• Working alongside our highly skilled Operations Manager and Operations Team which includes planning. The purpose of this department is to oversee all areas of our operational work. This Team has control over the work force, how the work is planned and executed.
• Required to be prepared, organised and ready for the unexpected due to the reactionary nature of the industry. Priorities can change very quickly, and you must be able to prioritise and control the delivery of work, you must be prepared to multitask.
• Working at various locations; undertaking the supervision of our teams, coaching, mentoring and auditing.
• Required to recognise different services during excavation, foreseeing any potential issues before continuing, offering advise and coaching to the team.
• Good general knowledge of all aspects of domestic and commercial water utility main and service laying, self lay, projects, asset installs, repair and maintenance is essential
• Required to ensure that our teams work safely and in accordance with company’s procedures. Ensure the health and safety of everyone on site.
• Ensure that the execution of all operational works is carried out safely, within company documented Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
• Taking responsibility for safety, commercial and practical elements of the delivery of our work
• Required to be available for standby, weekend and out of hours working, to meet the requirements of our customers and the industry.
• Meet with clients as directed.
We are looking for candidates who are working in our industry who are already supervising or interested in moving into a supervisory role. Preferably you will have experience and understanding of how to complete relatively complex works:

· Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills

· A full driving licence
· Physically fit
Ideally you will hold:
• A current EUSR Blue Water Card.
• A current EUSR SHEA (W) qualification.
• A NRSWA (Supervisors) qualification
• A current IOSH managing safely, SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
Pay will be dependent on experience from £16 to £22 per hour, you will be paid an enhanced rate for overtime, A commercial vehicle will be provided and a fuel card.
