Role Overview

The Transportation Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the success of JD Logistics’ transportation operations by overseeing daily activities such as scheduling, dispatching, and routing.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage Transportation Activities: Oversee daily transportation activities, including vehicle scheduling, dispatching, and routing, to ensure efficient, timely deliveries while minimizing costs.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and train a team of drivers and dispatchers, promoting a culture of accountability and high performance.
• Fleet Maintenance and Compliance: Ensure vehicle fleet maintenance and compliance with safety and regulatory standards, including inspections and documentation.
• Internal Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams such as customer service, warehouse staff, and logistics coordinators to resolve delivery issues.
• Performance Improvement: Analyze key metrics (e.g., delivery times, fuel efficiency) to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
• Experience: 3–5 years in transportation/logistics, with 1-2 years in a supervisory role managing transportation operations.
• Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and logistics software knowledge. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with teams.
• Certifications: CDL or relevant certifications preferred.
• Language: Fluency in Chinese is a plus for effective communication in a global environment.
