Teacher of SEN

We are looking for a teacher who will teach the full curriculum range delivered in a primary style model.

Classes are organised within different pathways and you may be teaching within any one of these across the secondary age ranges.Pathways include the semi-formal curriculum and formal curriculum rangeswhich cover pre-key stage 1 through to NC KS2).

You will be responsible for ensuring there are high quality and effective learning opportunities for all pupils. Class sizes are small and our experienced teams offer support with a collaborative approach to teaching and delivery of the curriculum. The post holder will also be expected to work closely with our multi-disciplinary teams and lead a team of learning support assistants.

The successful candidate will be required to:

Have previous experience of working within an inclusive team;

Deliver the school curriculum using a flexible approach to teaching;

Have experience of teaching in an autism-specific environment or working with autistic pupils;

Work closely with colleagues in a supportive manner to achieve the best outcomes for pupils;

Have a passion for autism education and the inclusion agenda;

Have experience of completing SEND assessments and adapting plans;

Be a motivational teacher for all abilities ensuring learning is engaging and inclusive;

Work within and contribute to the school community;

Have a commitment to an integrated, therapeutic approach and ethos;

Be very flexible and adapt quickly to change;

Be positive, be solution focused and support others to do the same;

Work within the culture and values of the school and promote these
