Description
Geldards LLP is a leading regional law firm with offices in Cardiff, Derby, Nottingham and London. We are currently recruiting for a Solicitor or Associate to join our Private Client team in our open plan and collaborative Nottingham office. We are also open to considering applications from any candidates who are looking for a short-term assignment, or fixed-term role.

The role will involve assisting the partners and other members of the core Private Client team in the provision of a high quality legal service to clients.

Key Responsibilities
• Drafting, reviewing and analysing a wide range of legal documents, including wills, trusts and estate planning, lasting powers of attorney, Court of Protection and estate administration.
• Providing advice in relation to all manner of private client matters including wills, tax and trust and estate planning, powers of attorney, Court of Protection and estate administration
• Providing support to senior members of the team on more complex matters.
• To deal courteously and promptly with any new instructions arising.
• To bill and collect debts by achieving individual financial cost targets.
• To develop and maintain good client relationships and enhance the Firm’s client base by effective liaison with existing and new clients.
• Dealing promptly with correspondence and client enquiries.
• Time recording all chargeable and non-chargeable time effectively.
• Cost effective handling of matters.
• Any other reasonable duties commensurate with the grade and post.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
• Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with relevant experience in the field.
• Ability to manage complex caseloads, prioritise workloads and work under pressure.
• Ability to communicate confidently with both clients and all department levels across the Firm.
• Excellent communication skills (in person, on the telephone and in writing).
• Excellent organisational skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and able to use own initiative.
• Team player.
• Ability to cope with high workload and work under pressure.

In return you will have the opportunity to develop your career within our award winning Private Client team based in our Nottingham office and will be paid a competitive salary (dependent on experience) as well as qualifying for other benefits such as a day of for your birthday and 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata for part-time working or fixed-term contracts).

• 35 hour working week – Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm – please do get in touch if you would like to discuss part-time or fixed-term opportunities
