As a Programme Manager you will be managing a portfolio of complex Defence development programmes, ensuring they meet schedule and budget requirements. Identify and deliver technologies to grow accounts while maintaining accurate reporting and managing change to achieve programme objectives

Rate – £750.00 per day Inside ir35

Location – London – 3 days a week onsite

Duration – 6-12 Months with the potential of extension

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and mentor a diverse team through all phases of program development
• Serve as the primary interface to external customers and senior stakeholders
• Ensure delivery of key milestones, plans, resources, schedules, and budgets
• Produce product roadmaps and business cases for investment approval
• Manage bids, contracts, subcontracts, and contract changes
• Identify and address program risks and issues
• Conduct program management reviews and meetings
• Support the Account Lead in team development
• Adhere to compliance and governance policies

Essential Qualifications and Experience
• Proven leadership in complex Defence program management, including change management.
• Successful delivery of high-value, long-term development and in-service programs.
• Strong communication skills to influence senior stakeholders.
• Ability to present complex technical concepts to management and customers.
• Expertise in bid, project, program, and portfolio management frameworks (e.g., Shipley, PMI, APM, MSP, Prince II, ITIL) and earned value management techniques.
• Proficient in MS Office and project scheduling tools.
• Expertise in risk and opportunity management.
