Purpose of the role:our Hartcliffe Way At Bristol Waste, we have an opportunity to divert good condition, fit-for-purpose items from the waste stream and get them into the hands of people who can use them. Since our founding, reuse has been a key part of our vision. We are seeking two approachable, friendly, and professional individuals to work as Reuse Shop Assistants atay and Avonmouth sites. You will be responsible for contributing towards the day-to-day running of the shops while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
• Checking and cleaning items prior to going into the shop
• Pricing and displaying stock in the shop
• Researching items to aid with pricing
• Taking cash and card payments at the till
• Ensuring the shop is well stocked and displays tidy
• Helping customers in the shop to find items
• Helping to ensure the health and safety of staff, volunteers and members of the public
• Working within safety guidelines (for example: fire regulations, manual handling)

Essential Requirements for the Role:
• Confidence in speaking to the public
• Basic maths, reading and writing skills
• Able to work independently or with minimal supervision
• Good timekeeping and reliability
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent organisational skills
