Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Payroll Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees. This position requires a strong understanding of payroll systems, human resources processes, and accounting principles. The Payroll Clerk will work closely with the HR department and finance team to maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Duties
• Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
• Maintain employee records in the HRIS, ensuring all data is up-to-date and accurate.
• Perform data entry tasks related to payroll, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employee status.
• Assist with accounts payable functions as needed, including processing invoices related to payroll expenses.
• Generate payroll reports and analyse data to identify discrepancies or trends that require attention.
• Collaborate with HR to resolve any payroll-related inquiries from employees.
• Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks or PeopleSoft for effective payroll management.
• Support the implementation of new payroll systems or upgrades, including Workday or other HRIS platforms.

Requirements
• Proven experience in a payroll or accounting role is essential.
• Strong knowledge of HRIS systems and human resources processes.
• Proficiency in data entry with a high level of accuracy.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks or PeopleSoft is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical skills to assess payroll data effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive employee information.
