This is an exciting opportunity for a part-time Senior Lawyer to join a legal team within technology space. The role is based in London and involves providing expert legal advice, ensuring compliance, and managing risk effectively.

Description
• Provide expert legal counsel on a range of matters within the transport & distribution sector.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
• Identify and manage potential legal risks proactively.
• Collaborate with internal departments to provide legal advice and support business objectives.
• Stay updated on legal developments affecting the transport & distribution industry.
• Handle disputes and liaise with external counsel when necessary.
• Contribute to the improvement of legal processes and policies within the organisation.
Profile
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Solicitor with 10 years+ Post Qualification Experience.
Solid experience of drafting and negotiating variety of commercial contracts – must be from a customer viewpoint.
Willingness to learn and expand knowledge in other areas of law including FCA regulated business unit and funding agreements.
Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously, whilst also collaborating effectively within a team and fostering relationships across departments.
Strong communication and personal skills, with the ability to deliver clear and practical advice to diverse audiences.
Common sense, light touch, practical, measured and proportionate way of dealing with matters.

Desired Skills and Experience
Drafting, negotiating and advising on a wide range of standard commercial/supplier/contractor/ contracts and general terms and conditions.
Co-Sec – must be able to handle group filings to maintain/alter boards as required.
Supporting on corporate transactions and M&A with external counsel but also confident enough to hold the pen on smaller transactions alongside in house colleagues. (some experience on Due Diligence process Questions and VDR functions).
Producing and keeping up to date the corporate policies for which the legal team have responsibility.
Taking the lead on horizon scanning for relevant legal changes.
Supporting the General Counsel to strengthen Corporate Governance.
Drafting Board Resolutions and making Companies House filings and updating business registers in other jurisdictions.
