House Sitter in South West

Mark

We live in an upstairs flat in a converted Victorian mansion called Sneyd Park House (Grade II listed). There are 12 flats altogether. The house is quite elevated and we enjoy gorgeous views across towards the river Avon, the Bristol Channel and the coast of Wales beyond (on a clear day!). Our flat enjoys its own parking space. We are on floor 1, and use a (hilariously tiny) lift from the grand entrance hall. Alfred (the Newfie) is very used to the lift and is very used to the routine of getting in and out. He requires short but regular walks (as we have no garden), but are blessed with the famous Clifton Downs (5 minutes walk South) and Sneed Park nature reserve and Bishops Knoll Woods (5 minutes walk North). Alfred is well known in the area and the other residents in the mansion are all very friendly and familiar with him! Alf is not keen on jumping into the back of the car these days, so when we need to take him anywhere, my wife and I tend to gently lift him into the back of our Volvo!
