About the Role

The post holder will lead, manage and develop the activities of a range of Domestic Waste and Street Cleansing services across Nottingham to ensure an efficient and safe delivery of the service for residents. As a service leader you will be expected to demonstrate our core theme behaviours of Leading People, Equality Diversity & Inclusion, Change & Innovation and Collaboration.

The post is classed as a hybrid worker, however there is an expectation that the post holder will be in the office 4 days per week

About You

The ideal candidate will have:
• Experience of dealing effectively with issues arising from Domestic Waste and Cleansing operations, including the tension from expanding our service offer whilst maintaining a high quality service to our residents
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of the regulatory and statutory framework surrounding waste management, including the competency and knowledge required for the management and operation of cleansing services.
• Experience of leading changes in the culture and working practices of front-line employees, through experience of effective negotiation and consultation with staff groups and trade unions.
• Evidence of establishing a performance management culture, including service planning, target setting, performance appraisal and the management of different staff groups
