Are you passionate about supporting young people who thrive outside of mainstream education? M&M Supply is looking for a resilient, empathetic, and proactive Alternative Provision Teaching Assistant for schools in Bristol.

About the Role:

This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to work within alternative education settings, supporting pupils who face a range of social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.

Key responsibilities include:
• Providing tailored 1:1 or small group support to students with additional needs.
• Supporting learners with behavioural, emotional, or mental health challenges in alternative provision or outreach settings.
• Building positive, trusting relationships with students to foster a safe and supportive environment.
• Assisting in the planning and delivery of creative and flexible learning activities.
• Working closely with SENCOs, teachers, and external professionals to support individual learning plans.

What We’re Looking For:
• Previous experience working with young people in alternative provision, SEN, PRU, or youth support roles.
• A calm, consistent, and confident approach to behaviour management.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students overcome barriers to learning.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A relevant qualification or training (e.g. Team Teach, MAPA, or equivalent) – desirable but not essential.
