Full Time Nanny – Live out or Live in
A lovely and friendly family known to Harmony at Home are seeking a fantastic nanny to join them in June to help care for their little girl who will be 6 months at the start of the role. They also have an elder daughter who is 2 and so there will be some shared care with the other rota nannies for her too.
The family live on a large farm just outside of Newmarket, there are horses on their land and two Labradors who are very much part of everyday life for the family. It is therefore important that the nanny is extremely dog friendly and is happy to be around the dogs each day. The location of the home is fairly remote, so a driver is essential as well but a nanny car can be provided whilst on duty.
The role is both sole and shared care with mum. There will also be an opportunity for the nanny to travel with the family too – for business purposes or on the family’s holidays. This is likely to be occasional though and for short periods.
Duties of the nanny will include typical nursery duties – baby’s laundry, tidying and organising the baby’s nursery and play area, sterilising bottles and cooking healthy meals for the baby. The family have a cleaner who comes to the home so there are no general housekeeping tasks.
The family would ideally love to find an energetic and enthusiastic nanny who is very proactive and has an extensive knowledge of children’s development. Someone who is keen to share this knowledge as the little girl progresses through her different milestones and offer considered advice on how to bring out the best in her. Alongside this, the right nanny would be thoughtful, flexible, very easy going and a generally lovely person to be around!
It is important to the family that the little girl gets plenty of fresh air – has an opportunity to be creative and imaginative and the nanny provides an engaging and safe environment in which she will thrive.
The role will be worked over 5 days – Monday to Fri 7am-7pm . A live in nanny is preferred and a double ensuite room can be offered in a separate annexe close to the family home. All bills will be included, and a cleaner will also go in once a week to clean and hoover. A live out nanny would be considered though they must be very reliable and punctual.
This is a really super role for an outstanding nanny who is full of life and will bring with them experience in babies and toddlers and a proactive and enthusiastic approach!
Location: Dullingham, Cambridgeshire
Minimum Experience: 2+ years working with children of the same age and in a similar role
Any specific required training for the role: Childcare qualifications essential
Hours: Monday -Friday 60 hrs per week 7am-7pm
Driver: Yes essential – nanny car can be provided
Pets- Two labs so essential the nanny loves dogs!
Job Start Date: June 2022- Jan 23
Pay: Approximately £800-1000 gross per week though there is flex for the right candidate
You must also have an up to date DBS and Paediatric First Aid Certificate or be willing to obtain, along with a minimum of 2 last / current employer professional referees that are immediately contactable.
