As we grow, we’re looking for a passionate and experienced Backend Engineer to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving our backend applications. You’ll work closely with a highly skilled team of designers, product managers, and engineers to play a key role in shaping our solutions.
Job Requirements:
• At least 3 years of experience designing, implementing, and deploying scalable, distributed backend systems, ideally designed for mobile and web clients
• Proactive in identifying and resolving complex problems, both independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable transforming ambiguous requirements into concrete user stories
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs design principles, and database technologies
• Expertise working with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS)
• Experience with Typescript
• Familiar with engineering best practices like CI/CD, clean code, and testing at different levels (unit, integration, etc.)
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and services
• Knowledge of security best practices
Job Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the system design of the software ecosystem and technical strategy
• Design, develop, and maintain business-critical backend services for web and mobile applications
• Collaborate closely with an autonomous, cross-functional team and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment
• Communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Write clean, well-structured code and maintain high standards for the codebase
• Deploy software to production environments
• Monitor performance and availability, troubleshoot, and resolve issues
