Let’s take it on
We are looking for an exceptional leader to become part of our dynamic and growing business; motivating, challenging and developing the Bristol Regional Service Centre team to be the best they can be.
Next is one of the biggest and best known online and high street Retailers in the UK. At the heart of our operation we have a state of the art Warehousing and Logistics business employing more than 9,000 people across our network, with ambitious growth plans.
Our Regional Service Centre network is integral to ensure we meet the growth in demand and our customer’s expectations. It’s exceptionally fast-paced and our teams have to constantly adapt and innovate to ever-changing demands.
You’ll be joining a business which pushes boundaries and pioneers the way. A lot has changed here at Next over the last four decades, but one thing has remained constant; a strong people culture, built around a solid set of company values.
About the role:
The Regional Service Centre Manager is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Bristol site. You will ensure that the RSC’s vision and objectives in the short, medium and long term are aligned to the Company’s strategy, with a clear operational plan for the coming season. The RSC Manager has substantial budget responsibility, with an overall team of over 150 staff across both warehousing and transport. You will ensure that the RSC delivers the right product, at the right time, every time at optimal cost, continually driving and challenging the status quo to improve on performance.
We are looking for someone who has a proven ability to build and develop strong working relationships with the network of Operational management across Next, external suppliers and customers. You will be able to demonstrate exceptional leadership, planning and decision making skills to ensure service delivery levels are met, anticipating any potential issues in order to deliver solutions rapidly.
Working closely with the RSC General Manager and other RSC Managers, you will share best practice and continuous improvement ideas to benefit the RSC network. The role requires an effective people manager to drive performance by leading and empowering your team. This includes the direct management of both Warehouse and Transport Assistant Site Managers who, in turn, manage large teams.
About you:
We are looking for a strong and positive leader, able to manage multiple projects, priorities and people. Leading by example, you will be highly motivated, with the vision and capability to see and understand the bigger picture, instrumental in leading and driving change.
Alongside your significant experience in a management role within retail and online distribution, you will possess a Transport Management CPC and have a proven track record of leading large teams of over 100.
