Job Title: Property Caretaker

Property Caretaker needed for a private villa on Tortola in the British Virgin Islands. The villa functions as a private residence and also as a luxury vacation rental. There are various buildings, pools, and extensive gardens to be cared for, and maintained in constant working order. The position requires full-time on-site work each weekday and occasional weekend duty. Honesty and integrity are paramount for all job duties. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.

For the work required, essential skills include substantial carpentry experience in order to

build, repair and regularly refinish extensive decking, doors and windows, and interior

furniture. Technical expertise and experience is also required with regard to plumbing,

electrical, HVAC, and pool/cistern upkeep, in order to maintain where feasible and otherwise troubleshoot and engage effectively with outside contractors.

Duties also include basic garden upkeep, working effectively with an outside gardener,

proactive preparation of the villa in advance of guest arrival to ensure all internal and

external elements are properly functioning; greeting guests upon arrival and transferring

luggage as needed; responding to guest emergencies, and preparation of property prior to

hurricane season.

Own transportation required. BVI Belonger preferred.
