About the Role
As a key member of our AMP7 delivery team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of water and wastewater projects across the Thames Valley and Thames South regions.
Our client Costain is working with Thames Water on various projects, ranging from smaller capital maintenance to large civil new build schemes. As a Senior Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing programmes and forecasting budgets, managing resources, and ensuring that all necessary documentation is produced in a timely manner.
We are looking for an experienced professional who can lead by example, motivate their team, and deliver high-quality results. If you have a strong background in civil engineering, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering complex projects, we encourage you to apply.
The ideal candidate will have a Civil Engineering related qualification (HNC, HND, BSc MSc, BEng, MEng) and experience at Senior Engineer level. They will also possess good communication skills for interface with members of the public and other stakeholders, as well as a current Driving Licence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop programmes and forecast budgets with the Senior Agent
• Manage resources and account measurement with the commercial team
• Requisitioning resources in a timely manner to ensure they are correctly specified and readily available
• Complete inspection and test plans, risk assessments, and method statements for the control of the works
• Keep a full and accurate daily site diary, including any changes/variations, subcontractors’ attendance, and records of work-related discussions with client/designer project team
• Manage, supervise, and mentor site and assistant engineers to ensure high levels of engineering control and appropriate records
