Domestic Assistant (Part Time)

At Barty House Nursing Home in Maidstone we have an exciting
opportunity for a Domestic Assistant to join our housekeeping team.

This is a part time position, working a total
of 8 hours per week.

This can be worked either as one 8-hour shift per
week or as two 4-hour shifts per week.

You must also be able to commit to working alternate
weekends in this role.

Purpose of Role:

Working under the direction of the Head of Housekeeping and the
Registered Manager, to ensure the highest possible standards of
cleanliness in all parts of the home.

Key Duties:
• Carrying out your duties to a high standard of cleanliness for our residents.
• To clean in accordance with the standards and frequency as
detailed within the Home’s Infection Control Policy and Cleaning Manual.
• To use cleaning products and materials, ensuring the correct
product and dilatation as specified in the cleaning manual and the
COSHH guidelines.
• To clean all sanitary areas respecting the privacy of residents
and visitors and as specified in the cleaning manual.
• To follow Infection Control guidelines for the cleaning of
isolation and other high-risk areas within the Home.
• Be aware of COSHH regulations and adhere to them at all times.

Skills & Qualifications Required:
• Firm understanding of infection control
• Ability to work alone or as part of a team
• Flexible and positive ‘can do’ attitude
