Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of Corporate & Public Sector Procurement (Consultant) to guide our entry and compliance within the Crown Commercial Service and other UK government procurement structures. This role is ideal for a retired procurement professional or a former public sector executive looking for flexible, high-impact consulting work with a growing tech company. In addition to overseeing procurement strategy, the consultant will play a key role in aligning internal processes related to UKVI sponsorship licensing, ensuring our organization is fully compliant and positioned to legally employ skilled migrant workers.

Responsibilities:
• Advise the leadership team on public sector procurement strategy, compliance, and commercial positioning.
• Lead and support the company’s engagement with the Crown Commercial Service (CCS), including framework applications and supplier registration.
• Coordinate the company’s tendering processes for government contracts, including G-Cloud, DOS, and other frameworks.
• Guide the internal setup of procurement documentation and operational alignment with UK public sector expectations.
• Work closely with HR to coordinate and manage the process of applying for and maintaining a sponsorship license for UK migrant workers.
• Ensure all processes related to migrant employment meet UKVI (UK Visas and Immigration) regulations, including timely submission of documentation, compliance tracking, and audit readiness.

Requirements:
• 15+ years in senior procurement roles within UK government, CCS, NHS, or similar public sector institutions.
• Retired or semi-retired senior procurement or commercial official now open to consulting roles.
• In-depth understanding of Crown Commercial Service (CCS) frameworks and public sector procurement.
• Experience with supplier onboarding and contracts through G-Cloud, DOS, etc.
• Familiarity with UKVI sponsorship licensing and compliance procedures.
• Strong understanding of HR coordination in regulated environments.
• Strategic thinking, documentation excellence, and stakeholder engagement.
