Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate various collection routes. The Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely collections while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Duties
• Operate various types of vehicles, including vans and flatbeds, to transport goods to designated locations.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition and report any mechanical issues.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers to coordinate collections and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
• Maintain accurate collection records and logs as required.
• Assist with loading and unloading goods at both the warehouse and delivery sites.
• Ensure that all cargo is secured properly before transport to prevent damage during transit.

Skills
• Proven experience as a Collections Driver or similar role, with a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and clients.
• Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues on the road.
• Ability to navigate using maps or GPS systems efficiently.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for accurate record-keeping.
• A valid driver’s licence appropriate for the vehicle type being operated is essential.
• Experience in warehouse operations is a plus, as it aids in understanding loading procedures and safety protocols.
