Passionate about education and ready to lead from the field? Kumon UK is hiring an Area Manager to support our Nottingham centres.
As the world’s leading supplementary education provider, Kumon is dedicated to helping every child unlock their potential. In this pivotal role, you’ll empower franchisees to succeed, support educational quality, and shape the growth of Kumon in your assigned region.
🌟 What You’ll Do
• Successfully complete the Kumon Area Manager Training Programme
• Support and develop franchisees and study centres in Nottingham to meet performance and instructional standards
• Build trusted relationships with Instructors and provide ongoing support and coaching
• Conduct regular centre visits, analyse performance, and implement development strategies
• Organise workshops, support local events, and promote Kumon campaigns
• Ensure consistent delivery of the Kumon Method and brand standards
• Work collaboratively across departments on franchisee business support (marketing, HR, finance, etc.)
• Lead or support key regional and national projects such as Instructor conferences and training events
• Regularly evaluate centre progress, address challenges, and guide high achievers to programme completion
🎯 What We’re Looking For
Essential:
• A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
• GCSE Grade B or above in Maths and English (or equivalent)
• Fluent in written and verbal English
• Proven experience in a corporate or performance-focused role
• Excellent communication, influencing, and organisational skills
• Confident working independently and managing a varied workload
• Flexible with travel and working hours (some evenings/weekends)
• Full, clean UK driving licence
Desirable:
• Master’s degree
• Experience in education or franchising
• Understanding of the UK education system and curriculum
• Familiarity with Kumon or structured learning methods
